It's Official: Tomorrow is Friday!

I love Wednesdays... half the week is over and I can look forward to the weekend! Thursdays are even better, although I tend to stress because I have so much to complete before the work week is over! I have a fun-filled weekend planned... A group of us will be going to the beach and playing a couple hands of blackjack at the Hard Rock Casino. Can't wait! That's why I love living in Florida. There are so many weekend getaway spots, I'm on a mission to go somewhere different at least once a month.

I'm crossing my fingers that I'll receive a package in the mail by Friday. I won the cutest, yellow,  Forever 21 linen skirt on eBaY and I'm dying to wear it this weekend. I was able to snag it for 99 cents + shipping...What a deal! Let's just hope it fits me the way I want it to. I'm so picky... if i don't like the fit, it'll find a nice comfy spot in my closet.

Finally, my first outfit photos! It tends to be a bit chilly in the office. My desk is situated near the IT guys... they like it cooooold, verrry cold. So although it's 99 degrees outside, I am quite comfortable with my scarf and cardigan! :)  Here's what I wore to the office today:

Scarf :: Purchased in Shanghai, China
Cardigan :: Ann Taylor
Dress :: Old Navy
Shoes :: Kenneth Cole
Belt :: Forever 21

What are you planning on doing this Fourth of July weekend? Ever found some great deals on eBaY?

Hiatus over.

The last week has been extremely hectic for me, to say the least. I played hostess for some friends who came to visit me, and I had a blast! Although I live in Florida, home of the BIG mouse, I tend to stay away from the tourist attractions. It's way too crowded, and there's nothing that bothers me most than sloooowwww drivers :). Sorry, I tend to always be in a rush to get somewhere. Anyway, it was nice to visit the theme parks and indulge in all the fun HOOPLA that Florida is known for.

In other news... I received an email from Forever21 (the LOVE 21 line) and had to checkout their new summer styles! Although I don't shop too often at XXI, I have to say, I'm quite impressed with many of their pieces. I'm thrilled to see more sophisticated styles. Here's what I fell in love with:

Belted Giraffe Print Dress @ $27.50 - Get it Here
I love the print and the length is perfect for work. According to the description, it is also lined!!

Banded Straw Hat @ $6.80 - Get it Here
I've never been a hat person, but I tried on a similar straw hat at Banana this past weekend and feel in love. Somehow I couldn't get past the $49.50 price tag... so back on the shelf it went.

Chiffon Woven Dress @ $22.80 - Get it Here
I love the color and the unique cut around the neck and shoulders. I would remove the belt that is included and pair with a chunky black belt instead.

Floral Daze Silk Dress @ $27.80 - Get it Here
What a fun, flirty summer dress! The print is adorable. I have challenged myself this summer to add some color to my wordrobe. Like most people, black and white seem to rule my closet.

Linen Pleat Shorts @ $17.80 - Get it Here
High waisted shorts are perfect for the summer. Linen is sooo light weight, and the beige will go with anything!

Click here to take a look at the line yourself. What do you think? I'll definitely be doing some shopping this fourth of July weekend - Perfect, the sales will be worth it! ;)

Father's Day shopping...I hit the jackpot!

My mother and I usually go shopping every Sunday! It's our weekly "mother and daughter time," as my dad calls it! So, I woke up this morning, picked mom up and dashed to the Nike store to purchase a Father's Day gift for my daddy. I found a pair of sneakers he wanted and purchased a flexfit hat to match! What a great deal. The Nike Zoom Equalon+ 4 Men's Running Shoe (in blue) retails for $135 on their website, and I was able to snag it for only $79. The matching fitted cap was only $15, so I couldn't complain!

While I was out, I had to stop by Macy's. A friend of mine told me there was an amazing sale, and she was right...30-50% off across most of the store. A 30-minute visit, soon turned into 3 hours. Here are my unbelievable finds:

I found this unique INC "Parking Cone Orange (as I like to call it)" Multi-layered Skirt (Size 2)for only $19.98 (Originally $79). It also comes in black, but appeared too "formal." The orange was fun and flirty, so I took the fashion risk. Can't wait to pair it with a sexy black blouse, a belt and black pumps.

The junior department was practically giving away denim shorts and dresses! I rarely wear denim shorts, so I ran over to the dress racks. I found the most adorable American Rag slight-bubble dress (Small) and a Roxy summer-printed halter dress (XS WITH POCKETS...I love dresses with pockets!). Both dresses were $19.99 (Originally $30 and $50).

If you know me, you know that I rarely buy anything at full price. Unless its a "timeless, have-to-own" item (i.e. My Gucci duffel bag). Or a H&M/Forever21-type piece (you can't beat some of those prices). It's a thrill spending only a fraction of the original price...wouldn't you agree!?!

I've got to run! I'm late for Father's Day dinner with the family. What are you doing for Father's Day?

Call this numero uno.

Hey guys! This is my first blog. FINALLY! Now all I need are followers :). I have wanted to create a blog for some time now and I am thrilled that today is the day. I have been inspired by several blogs - I too have a passion for fashion, beauty, travel and my adorable 3.5lb Yorkie, Louie. However, my goal is to approach my blog with a unique and fresh perspective.

Louis "Louie" Vuitton II

Here's an icebreaker for an introduction:
If you could have an endless supply of any food, what would you get? I would say anything Thai! I have an addiction for Thai food - I even get cravings! I cannot get enough of the Basil Chicken dish with vegetables and rice. Yummm.

What is one goal you’d like to accomplish during your lifetime? Graduate from my MBA program. Just two and a half semesters and you can call me Ms. MBA! WHoohoo!

If you could visit any place in the world, where would you choose to go and why? Shanghai, China. This was by far the most memorable trip...there is just sooooo much to see, I need to plan another trip real soon.

What’s the ideal dream job for you? I love what I do, but my dream would be to start my own firm and be successful in providing marketing consultation for small businesses.

Are you a morning or night person? A night person. 100%. I don’t talk to anyone unless I've eaten breakfast and indulged in a Tall Vanilla Late.

If you had to describe yourself using three words, it would be...Energetic, smart, quirky

This will be an interesting adventure and I'm glad you'll be around for the ride! ;)
