Teen Khardashian, Material Girl and Outfit Picks.

Hello Dolls! It’s Wednesday and I am so excited that half the work week is over. Aren't you? Although I should probably be studying this weekend, I have a Miami trip planned [with friends] and I’m looking forward to catching up on some much needed girl time. I have a midterm exam due next weekend, so I’m hoping that when I get back on Sunday, my mind will be refreshed and ready to get to work. Am I the only one that procrastinates with school work?!? :)

I’m sure you have heard about the controversy surrounding the Kendall Jenner photo shoot. She is the 14-year old sister of Kim, Khloe and Kourtney Khardashian. Recently, she served as the spokesmodel for Forever 21.  Much news has been made about the sexiness of the photos. I think they are beautiful, but Kendall definitely looks a lot older than she is. The bikini just doesn’t appear age-appropriate.What do you think?

Did you girls know that Madonna’s daughter Lourdes Leon is actually starting her own “tween/teen” line called Material Girl? I was indulging in my daily celebrity gossip and read a little snippet. Some of her pieces are really cute and the line definitely features a taste her mother’s style. I could definitely see little girls wanting to wear these clothes. Here are some images that were taken during a recent photo shoot:

Outfit pick: I wanted to wear something bright and cheerful today, so I decided on my yellow floral-printed, pocketed skirt. I LOVE pockets on dresses and skirts, don't you?! I paired with my new nude heels...it was the perfect match!

Do you ever plan weekend getaways with your girls? What do you do? Where do you go?

Happy hump day,

Still NOT over the Cynthia Vincent line for Target.

So, I have a bit of a confession. I am still super bummed that I wasn't able to snag the Cynthia Vincent for Target wedges that everyone seems to be wearing this summer. There are practically 20 Targets within a a few miles from my home and they were all sold out of them within a week or so of placing them on the shelves. I was, however, able to snag the gold studded white sandals on sale for $14 months later. Anyway, from time-to-time, I check out eBay to see if they are available in my size. I almost couldn't believe my eyes when I saw that a pair of size 6's sold for $176, plus $12 shipping...that's a total of $188!! Wow! I just couldn't justify paying so much for a $30 pair of shoes. I would just purchase the real thing - a pair of  Mason Wedges made by the CV Twelfth Street line for almost half the price. But to each its own :). It's just amazing to see how much demand there is for these shoes. Even three months after its release.

The CV for Target wedges are still on my wish list:

Here's the screen shot of the winning eBay auction I was referring to above (click to enlarge):

My weekend was very relaxing! I spent my Sunday laying out at the pool and watching TV movies. I also wanted to share some cute pictures I took of Louis ("Louie") this weekend in my back yard! It was definitely a hot day, but the cool breeze from the lake allowed us to enjoy some play time. Do you have any pets? Those who have dogs...do you find it difficult to walk your dog in the hot, summer sun?

 Have a fabulous Monday!

Work events, new blackberry and new shoes.

This week has been super super busy for me. I had two successful work events and I even got to meet a few celebrities. When you’re barely 5 feet 5 inches tall (with heels), professional basketball players are practically giants! For most of the week I was scrambling in the office to complete some work. Not being in the office can really put you behind. I’m sure when I return on Monday, I’ll at least have 100 emails or so to answer—You can only reply to soo many emails on your Blackberry.

Speaking of Blackberry, I purchased a new one today. My old phone was pretty beat up (it must have been all the times I dropped my phone lol) and I’ve been eying the newest Blackberry Bold model. I go through phones a little too often, so hopefully this will last a little bit longer than the last one.

I was lucky enough to participate in a blog sale Veronika (@ Veronika’s Blushing) was having this past weekend. I received my package this week and Waallllaaahh! They are a half size too big (I will make it work), but I can’t wait to wear these beauties next season.

Jessica Simpson Rachella Ankle Boots (Buy it here)

Also, remember the Mossimo Nude heels I purchased on Monday at Target? I never got to share a  photo. They were on sale for $20 and it was the last pair remaining on the shelf, so I had to add them to my basket. I plan on wearing them this week, so I’ll be sure to post an outfit pick.

Mossimo Virginia Pumps (Buy it here)

Outfit pick: Here’s what I wore to one of my work events this week. I was thrilled when I remembered I had the orange INC skirt in my closet…and never wore it! I paired it with a chunky black belt, black blouse and peep toe heels.

Blouse :: Banana Republic
Belt :: Banana Republic
Skirt :: International Concepts (INC)
Shoes :: Nine West

Have any plans for the weekend? I don't have much planned, however, I definitely need to catch up on my Zzzzzs. After this week, some rest is in order! :)

120 eye color palette and what I wore today.

Hey guys! This is going to be a quick post. I have a dinner date tonight and I'm bound to be late.

I sent an email to Suzannah @ Adventures in Dressmaking to see if she could help me with an issue I have regarding belts that are too long. Check out her quick fix tips and read the creative ideas her readers have shared. I actually went out to purchase a package of snaps this afternoon. I have posted about Suzannah's blog in the past, but it is absolutely one of my favorites. Thanks again for your help Suzannah!

The BF surprised me today with a little gift. He was running errands during the day and picked up a beautiful 120 eye color palette for me. He gets major points for this! I love the compact too - It's perfect for travel!  Here is what I was currently using for the summer:

Milani Cosmetics, Runway Eyes (Buy it Here)

Here is the amazing palette...I'm so excited. I can't wait to use it! Practically every color of the rainbow available at my finger tips :).

Profusion, Ultimate Blockbuster (Buy it Here)

Outfit Pick: I felt a little green today, so I wore one of the most comfortable dresses in my closet. Had to keep it interesting...I paired it with my giraffe-print peep toes.

Dress :: Banana Republic
Belt :: Ann Taylor
Necklace :: Forever 21
Shoes :: Mossimo
Handbag :: Coach

Have a great night! :)

Skipped lunch and went shopping.

I really dislike Mondays. It's always a bit difficult to get back into the swing of things after spending two consecutive days doing all the things YOU want to do. But as Tuesday approaches, I'm more than ready to tackle the week. Ha ha! I did see Iron Man 2 and Inception this weekend. LOVE LOVE these two movies. If you haven't seen Inception, make sure you pay attention to all the details. I had to shhhushhh the BF throughout the whole movie. lol. Funny it's usually him shuushhing me :).

I actually didn't take lunch today, I swung by the outlet mall to return a blouse from Banana Republic and to see if ALDO carried "the Spoors" in size 36. A blogger pal, Kristy @ Monochromatic wore them beautifully and ever since I saw them on her I wanted them! This shoe is a great copy of the Cynthia Vincent for Target wedges and beats the quality ten-fold. They didn't have my size, but luckily the sales associate was able to find them at another store (almost 2 hours away). They will be shipping them to my local store and I'll pick them up on Thursday. Love the customer service at ALDO!

Next stop: Banana Republic. The weekends are always a great time to visit Banana Republic. That's when the sales are the best (in my opinion). But I was surprised to see 50% off jewelry and 30% off belts and scarfs. There were some cute items, but I was on a mission. I have a few events coming up for work, so black tops were number one on my list. CHECK. I was lucky enough to grab a 3/4 sleeve cardigan (can never have enough cardigans) and a short-sleeve navy blue and black turtle neck on sale...both for less than $30. Why all the sleeves in the summer? Haha... most of our events are indoors and I always seem to be cooooold!

I wish you can see the quality of the blouses, but the photos do not do them justice!

 Banana Republic Cardigan, $12.99

Banana Republic Turtle Neck, $15.99

Outfit Pick: I went sleeveless today. The weather is reaching 100 degrees!! AHHH! So I paired with a khaki skirt I purchased in Shanghai and a pair of JS I haven't worn in months!

Blouse :: Forever 21
Skirt :: Purchased in China
Belt :: Banana Republic
Shoes :: Jessica Simpson
Handbag :: Louis Vuitton

I'm off to a TV date with my best friend. We are BIG Housewives of New Jersey fans and a new episode debuts tonight.

Movie weekend ahead.

I am extremely behind on my movies and honestly, I'm not getting the jokes in the office. lol. I haven't even seen Iron Man 2. I know, I know... It's terrible! Ha! There are a few theaters that are still showing it. I have a busy weekend ahead, but wanted to do some "movie hopping" on Sunday. Here's my list of must-see movies:

Outfit Pick: Fridays are dress down days in the office, so I wore a pair of slightly damaged, 7 jeans,  and an oversized, pink boyfriend tee. Since I didn't post yesterday, here's what I wore. Not only am I the biggest fan of wrap dresses, but purple is my favorite color!:)

Dress :: Boutique in Miami
Cami :: Banana Republic
Shoes :: Nine West

FYI: You guys get a glimpse of the dirt patches on my lawn. Ya, that's all meeeee. I tend to have a problem driving on the drive-way. I'm hoping daddy will be able to patch that up for me this weekend :)

What are your favorite summer movies? Is there anything else I should add to my list?

Have a fabulous weekend,
Natasha xoxo

Who doesn't love a shoe sale?

Discount Rack: I am all about sales. ALDO, one of my favorite shoe stores is having an online sale on selected styles (up to 70% off) and I can't believe the prices! It's bitter-sweet for me because I purchased two sandals within the last few months and now, they are practically giving them away! You can't win them all, I guess.. haha! It gets even better. Shipping is free for all orders over $75! AND it's very easy to spend $75 at ALDO :). Splurge...you deserve it.

Outfit pick: The weather channel predicted 5% rain today, so I knew it was going to be a HOT HOT day. I had some errands to run during the workday, so it was the perfect opportunity to wear my Roxy halter dress I purchased at Macy's during Father's Day weekend. Of course the halter dress alone would not be appropriate for the office and frankly, it feels like winter inside (the air is usually set at 60 degrees), so I threw on a white cardigan and headed out the door.

Dress :: Roxy (Buy it here)
Cardigan :: Target
Belt :: Forever 21
Shoes :: Aldo
Necklace :: Victoria Secret

Do you know of any online sales? Share with me...there's nothing better than receiving a package in the mail! ;)

“Fashion fades, only style remains the same.” ~Coco Chanel

Its always fun to see what the celebrities are wearing. That's where I get a lot of my outfit ideas... I was once told by a stylist that most people don't realize what they can do with their wardrobes - mixing colors, prints, textures! So I strolled onto OMG! and these looks stuck out to me the most:

Kim Khardashian

The black and white-striped blazer makes the outfit! What a great piece to add to any closet.

Vanessa Hudgens

Sideways cross necklaces are the trend this summer. I've been looking for one in gold!

Kendra Wilkinson Baskett

Nude pumps are so classy and they can be paired with any outfit! I specifically love the Christian Louboutin rounded-toe. Target was having a sale a week or so ago, so I picked up a pair of Mossimos that were on sale for $20. Why not?!

Carrie Underwood

Carrie is always so beautiful. Her dress selections are always unique, chic and a bit edgy all at the same time.

Gwyneth Paltrow

Black shorts, white shirt, black heels and a clutch.... so classic!

Outfit Pick: I'm proud of myself these past couple of weeks. I have definitely brought some summer color to my wardrobe. I finally received my yellow linen skirt in the mail that I purchased from eBay and it fits me to a tee! I paired it with Forever 21 favorites and a cute mix of gold jewelry.

Blouse :: Forever 21
Jacket :: Forever 21
Skirt :: Forever 21 eBaY find
Handbag :: Louis Vuitton
Belt :: Forever 21
Shoes: Aldo

Ring :: Purchased in China
Bangles :: Purchased in India
Watch :: Gucci

What are your favorite celebrity outfits? Is there a celebrity whose style you can identify with most?

Summer project decided.

With the assistance of Suzannah and her fabulous DIY blog, Adventures in Dress Making (check it out), I have decided that I will attempt to make a clothing item by the end of the summer. Hey, maybe even two! I discovered her amazing blog a week or so ago and she has motivated me to be a little creative - DIY creative. I used to sew a lot when I was younger...I was a whiz at making doll clothes, bags, pillows, throw blankets, you name it. What I really want to do is make a dress, but I think i'll start out small. Maybe a skirt? A cute summer top? I'll be sure to share what I come up with...even if its a flop! lol.

Number two project is re-organizing my closet. I have a ton of space, but I'm not using it wisely. a month or go I purchased a shoe rack ($29.99) at The Container Store and the big, white box has been sitting in my room waiting to be opened and assembled. Can't wait! It'll free up even more space for me and if organized correctly, I'll be able to see everything I own. I can't tell you how many times I'm searching my closet and I pull out a shoe or a handbag I forgot I owned. Terrible, huh? Hopefully that will be a problem of the past.

Discount Rack: A friend of mine emailed me this Old Navy coupon. It's always a hit or miss for me when it comes to Old Navy. Sometimes I see the most amazing finds, other times, not soo much. One thing you can always count on is your basics. If you're looking for tanks, tees and jeans, you'll find it at the Navy! Click on the coupon and hit the print button. Enjoy :)

Outfit Pick: Although yesterday was "dress-down" day (YEY for wearing jeans at work! :), I had a couple of meetings, so I sucked it up and threw on my favorite electric blue blouse:

Top :: Bananna Republic
Skirt :: Ann Taylor
Shoes :: Jessica Simpson
Necklace :: Forever 21
Belt :: BCBG

Have any projects planned for the summer? It's already July... summer will come to an end soon. Can you believe it!?!

I need a reality tv fix.

Anyone a fan of the MTV series "The Hills"? I must confess, I am. I know, I know... it's not a reality series, it's a hoax. The girls and guys are only acting. But I still like a little drama TV. Anyhoo, Lauren Conrad's best friend, Lo Bosworth is publishing her first book in January, and I'm a little excited to get my hands on it. She's by far the most down-to-earth girl on the show (and apparently in person). Unlike many of the cast members, Lo attended college, earned a bachelors degree from UCLA and maintained a "Real job" during the earlier seasons of the show. Lo's role was typically the friend that gave relationship advice, so her book, entitled "The Lo-Down," would be very much a dating advice book with some life lessons sprinkled in between. I don't need dating advice,  but I'm sure I can be reminded of some life lessons! HA! :)

 Lo Bosworth

Monday and Thursday nights are by far my favorite reality show nights! And tonight on Bethany's Getting Married (Spin-off from Bravo's New York Housewives), Bravo will debut taping of her wedding. It was reported in the press that only a handful of friends and family members were invited, so i'm excited to see how she kept it intimate and fabulous! I can't get enough of this stuff. Here is my nightly Reality TV schedule. Yes, TiVo is my friend :)

Sunday:
Kate Plus 8
Keeping Up with the Khardashians
Holly's World
Ochocinco: The Ultimate Catch
Monday:

The Bachelorette on ABC
New Jersey Housewives on Bravo
Tuesday:
Jersey Couture on Oxygen;
The City on MTV;
The Hills on MTV
Thursday:
Bethany is Getting Married on Bravo

What is your TV schedule look like during the week? I'm off for a run before the show begins!

Just another day.

I'm back into the swing of things at work and I'm lovin' the 90+ degree weather here in Florida! Sometimes I sit and stare outside the windows at work and just wish to be on a beach somewhere. Speaking of beach, Victoria Secrets is having a Swimsuit Sale and the prices are great (up to 70% off)! I've been eying a swimsuit for the past few months so I was thrilled to snag it for only $40. The sale ends tomorrow, so check it out today!

I was determined to wear my Cynthia Vincent sandals, so I decided to pair with a comfortable light skirt. Here's what I wore today:

Top :: GoJane.com
Skirt :: Lynn Fleur (custom made)
Shoes :: Cynthia Vincent for Target
Necklace:: Forever 21

Signing off for Wednesday!
