Current Obsession: Nine West Riding Boots

Have you ever had a crush on a pair of shoes, but couldn't find it in yourself to purchase them? You think about all the shoes in your closet and try to come up with reasons why these NEW pair are needed. The price may be more than what you want to spend, but there IS that "special" something that you believe will justify the purchase?

I've been eyeing a pair of riding boots at Nine West, since the beginning of the season. While I don't have flat boots in my shoe closet, I already own five boots...and with the year-round, warm weather in Florida, do I really need to own a new pair? The answer was an obvious "no"... but I walked into the Nine West store this weekend and guess what I saw? The riding boots that were once $179 had been reduced to only $65. It's gets better. A few months ago I made a donation to the St. Jude Foundation, and received a 20% off coupon to use in the store. AT this point, can I really say "no" to such a great deal? Before I knew it, the pair of boots I've been dreaming about all season was packaged nicely in a Nine West shopping bag, and when the cashier told me the total, it was music to my ears :)

OOTD: A Little Friday Ruffle

Is it just me, or does Friday seem to be the busiest day of the week? I organize my life by composing lists, and it doesn't stop at the office. I always find myself with just as many "to-do's" on Fridays as I had in the beginning of the week. How does that happen?

Outfit Picks: I was dying to wear my new black wedges, so my outfit today was centered around them. These pair of Merona's are extremely comfortable, and although they don't have much of a heel, they add a LITTLE height, while appearing to be flats. Pretty tricky, eyyyhh?!

Back to Reality, Shopping & OOTD

I'm finally in Florida, and yesterday was the first day back into my usual work routine. It's hard to be gone for almost three weeks in one of the most beautiful places ever, than be expected to swing back into reality. I had planned to blog while I was away but I just didn't have the time. It's funny. When I take a break from the blogging world... it's like I haven't seen family members in sooo long. I really miss you all. :(

While I was gone, I did manage to do a little shopping. Are you surprised?

I've been looking for this book for a few weeks, but it's been sold out in several books stores. I finally got my hands on a copy at a local Target. Can't wait to dive into it.

Remember my rant several months ago? Well, It can rest, because I got lucky! I was able to locate a brand NEW pair of the Cynthia Vincent Cognac Wedges in my size on eBaY. And it gets better. I didn't over pay for them. I practically paid the same retail price [they once were at Target] before they were SOLD OUT.

You all know I'm a lover of heels...high, high heels. Well, sometimes you need a break, and a pair of wedges does the perfect trick. These suedes are by far the most comfortable shoes, and from the front, they appear to be ballet flats. Purchase here. The grays are on sale for over 50% off at my local Target.

This little treasure was found at a local boutique shop in New York City! I don't own a purse this color, and it would pair perfectly with a number of outfits. Love the studs!

Can a trench coat be any cuter? AND it's lined! A favorite Forever 21 find.

I can't get enough of lace, so when I spotted this beautiful, black, Merona for Target blouse...I grabbed it.

Express is having an amazing sale. These crop pants have been worn by many bloggers, so I decided to try it on. Although I'm "vertically challenged" the fit was perfect, the pockets are deep and they are very comfortable. Purchase here on sale!

My "Office" for the Next Ten Days

Hello Ladies! I have missed you. Sorry about my hiatus, but I've been working very hard on a project in Palm Springs, California. Thanks for all of your well wishes during the holidays. I was able to make my way out of New York during that horrible snow storm. Did anyone else get stuck?

HAPPY NEW YEAR! I spent my New Years at home with just a few friends. Probably the most low-key New Years in my life! Ha! I was just so exhausted from traveling, and I had a flight scheduled the following night. I had planned to make my rounds to several parties, but it just wasn't going to happen. When your body shuts down, there isn't much you can do! :) How did you spend your night?

Today was my first day off in California, since January 1st, and I took FULL advantage of it. I went on a celebrity bus tour and drove by dozens of homes owned by (or once owned by) Hollywood's beloved stars - Lucille Ball, Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley, Liberace Suzanne Summers, Audrey Hepburn, just to name a few. I also took a trip to the mall, and enjoyed a few hours at the spa!

While I'm a bit homesick, I can't complain too much about work... I've traded in my heels for cleats and here is my "office" view for the next ten days:
