This is the time of year that I fight my temptations to shop for fall shoes, only to look back in the Spring and wonder why I purchased so many boots! I live in Florida...do I really need new pairs every year? I'm slowly starting to understand my weird, but true desire of maintaining a seasonal wardrobe, in a not-so-seasonal state ;)

Trending: Nothing a blazer couldn't fix

Blazers are one of my favorite signature clothing pieces. If I'm having a slow start in the morning, staring at my closet and wondering what I should wear, a blazer is always one of those items I look to for help! Heck, a t-shirt and jeans paired with a blazer, easily transforms to a work appropriate outfit - just simple and classic!

Fall Wish List: Lauren Conrad Collection

Hello lovely ladies! I hope your week is getting off to a great start. I have a lot going on at work and I'm excited to be managing some new projects. I'm not sure what I would do if I had to show up to the office  everyday and perform the same routine.

Anyhoo, I definitely enjoyed my tax-free weekend, and fell in love with a few items at Banana Republic. On Sunday, I finally headed over to the mall with one of my friends to check out the Mad Men Collection.While I wanted to run over to the register once I saw the animal print cardigan and the lace shell, the store did not carry petite sizing [I knew I should have gone to the mall that's an hour away grrr]. The sleeves were too long on the extra small cardigan, and the lace shell was only available in a small [only a few were remaining  on the shelf]. An extra small would have fit perfectly. I'm think about purchasing online...we'll see.

Speaking about Fall collections, have you took a peek at the Lauren Conrad Collection at Kohl's? The collection is available for purchase online and will be in stores in September. While I'm loving the pinks and nudes, the colors and fabrics reflected in this collection is more "summer" or "spring-friendly." I'm not complaining...after all, I do live in Florida and our Fall is not traditional one bit! Here are my favorites:

Tax-Free Weekend in the Sunshine State

Yes ladies...my favorite time of year is here...tax-free weekend! I'm hoping to have some better luck at the stores with all the new fall lines that have surfaced. Have you seen the new Mad Men collection that launched at Banana Republic? I'm lovin' the mix of leopard, grays and lace. Can't wait to see it in person.

A few of you asked me to share my Target finds from last weekend. Sorry it took me so long to post! Here are the goodies:

 

1. White Cotton Scoop Neck Tee - Can you ever have enough cotton tees? I actually purchased two in the same color. You can pair easily with jeans and skirts...and wear to work or out and about!

2. Initial and Frames - I've always been a fan of letter blocks. Unfortunately, the letter "N" is never available...this time it was. I grabbed my "N" and a pair of black and white frames that look perfect on a shelf in my foyer. The frames were on sale for $9 each, and the letter was only $2.50. Such a steal!

3. Dolce Vita for Target - When these first hit the shelves, I was apprehensive about purchasing them. I have a number of similar shoes in my closet, did I really need another wedge sandal? Last weekend they were on sale for 50% off, so I had to grab one. I couldn't decide whether I wanted the black or brown...so I purchased both! Ha! It looks like these are still online for regular price, but I recommend visiting your local retail stores to take advantage of the discount.

4. White Drawstring Shorts - I've been searching for the perfect pair of white shorts and was thrilled when my eyes spotted these babies. They are extremely comfortable and would pair nicely with heels, flats or even sandals. They were also on sale, only for $12. Much cheaper than online.

Should've worn my lucky heels

After reading some of the great finds many of my favorite bloggers have written about, I darted out to the stores on Saturday! While I did score some amazing deals at Target, I was quite disappointed with my trip to H&M, Forever 21, Ann Taylor, and Banana Republic, just to name a few. The items I was looking for were either SOLD OUT or not available in my size. Don't you hate when that happens? Maybe it's a sign, that I need to lay off the shopping trips for a few weeks... eghhh...no way! :)
